Why Dominating Your Market Is Critical Now Than Ever Before

November 22, 2022

Starting an online business was a piece of cake just a mere 20 years ago. All you had to do is build a website, spend $0.02/click on pay-per-click advertising, and watch the sales roll in.

Facebook and Instagram didn’t exist. Cellphones were simple flip phones that simply allowed people to place phone calls and send simple texts. (Remember pressing a button 3x to get a certain letter???) And people’s attention was squarely on their desktop computers.

The best part is you could get away with being 2nd or 3rd in your marketplace because the competition wasn’t really that keen on trying new things. You could easily buy more attention through cheap pay-per-click and banner ads.

Nowadays, just being second best isn’t going to cut it anymore. It’s not good enough to have a great product that impacts your target audience.

You need to dominate your market by building your own media company that helps you get in front of your target audience.

Why? Because competition has never been greater.

There are over 530,000 websites created every day and every social media page or profile that gets created joins millions that are just like it.

Further, ad costs have skyrocketed and will continue to do so as new businesses get launched and demand and adoption increases.

But wait… there’s more!

There are so many distractions that didn’t exist a mere 10-15 years ago. There’s Tiktok, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media channels that vie for your customer’s attention. That’s also not including news sites, video games, and apps that all fight for attention.

Plus, almost everyone has a smartphone in their pocket that connects them to tons of these distractions and more.

The bottom line is there’s an infinite number of distractions that are competing for your customer’s finite amount of attention.

That’s why there’s now a huge emphasis on attention when it comes to dominating your niche vs. simply having a great product or service.

Being the most-known in your industry will help you cut through the noise and have more of your ideal target market come to you like a magnet.

The good news is it’s never been easier to connect with a worldwide audience.

Sure, there’s a lot of competition, but there are also a lot of opportunities for the savvy entrepreneur or small business owner who wants to get an “unfair advantage” over their market.

The best part is… there are no gatekeepers.

You don’t have to plunk down hundreds of thousands of dollars on television ads.

You also don’t have to dabble in confusing technology.

But here’s the thing… You cannot half-ass it anymore.

You need to go all in and strive for market domination if you want to compete and create an amazing business and life for yourself.

So, are you relying on the awesomeness of your product or service to get you by while your competitors become more visible and expand their reach?

Do you know you that you should be “getting yourself out there more” but you’re stuck and settling for the business you’re currently getting by with right now?

In 2-3 years, you could find yourself lost in the noise as your competitors boost their exposure and eat you for lunch.

Or, you could be seen, be found, and be heard everywhere your target market hangs out and achieving marketing domination.

The choice is yours.

If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines, then it’s time for you to get in the game. Time to be proactive and get in front of your target audience so that you are the only viable and recognizable option for them.

You’ll thank yourself when more of your ideal customers and clients are willing to crawl over broken glass to work with you while your competitors settle for scraps.
